About me
Who am I ?
As this is already a very philosophical question, I will do my best to describe myself as briefly as possible. This is also an art and a gift that I greatly appreciate.
My name is Pascale Worré and I have three great passions in my life: Philosophy, ultra running (click here for more informations about my ultra runs) and writing. These are closely linked and characterise my everyday life and my life in the same way.
I dedicated myself to philosophy at the University of Heidelberg as a young woman. After studying philosophy and German philology and literature, I completed my teacher qualification, taught at several secondary schools and wrote my doctoral thesis in philosophy. I also worked in youth work for several years before returning to a school, where I am still a member of the school management team today.
But during all those years, I didn't get any real satisfaction from studying philosophical theories. There must be more about philosophy than what's in the books, systems and theories, right?
At the time I was writing my doctoral thesis, I started running. Running in nature gave me a completely new and more intensive approach to life, to myself and also to philosophy. I discovered more and more "philosophy" in everyday, practical life. For me, it is the ability to approach things from many different points of view and to adopt new perspectives.
And it is precisely this ability that I would like to use as a resource for my philosophical practice and make it accessible to others.
